Volunteer

CARA is a community of animal lovers working to rescue, rehome, and advocate for the welfare of cats and dogs across the Philippines. Volunteering is a meaningful and rewarding experience, especially for those with genuine compassion and love for animals.

However, passion alone does not always ensure long-term commitment. In the end, continuing this journey is a choice, one that calls for consistency, responsibility, and heart.

What this means for you

Real involvement

You'll contribute real, hands-on hours visiting our cats & dogs in the CARA HQs, creating published, attributable content, speaking at schools, or coordinating with communities. Volunteer in one (or more!) of our programs to get involved.

We're on each other's team

You'll join a team of like-minded people, build new skills, and be a part of a movement making life better for animals in the Philippines (current focus: Metro Manila).

Who can sign up

Anyone 18 and over who genuinely cares about animal welfare and can commit to 20 hours per quarter of volunteer work. No specific background needed: just commitment, communication, and full support of CARA's philosophy and policies.

Represent CARA at talks, school visits, outreach programs, and advocacy events

Depending on your interest, level of confidence, and location, you may be invited as a resource speaker for CARA's partner schools, LGUs, and organizations. Key topics will cover CNVR, Responsible Pet Ownership, and Animal Welfare.

Coordinate with PMO, HOA, residents, and LGUs on community cat management programs.

As a CARA representative, you will provide guidance and coordination support for the CNVR program. Your goal is to promote humane, non-confrontational, and compassionate advocacy for animal welfare.
