Celebrate with CARA
Mark a birthday, an anniversary, or any special moment filled with generosity and gratitude by spending it with the cats and dogs in our care, or by making a gift in someone's name.
Our furry friends love meeting and hanging out with new people!
Your visit brightens their day just as much as their woofs and purrs will brighten yours. Spoil them with pets, snacks, and snuggles, and they'll give you something in return that no gift shop carries: their trust and friendship.
Visit our Cattery or Home for Dogs
Bring your group to our facility in Mandaluyong or Novaliches, and spend your special day surrounded by the cats the cats and dogs in our care. Our Cattery can accommodate 5 visitors comfortably, max up to 8 visitors, while our Kahu Home for Dogs can hold up to 20 comfortably.
Donate in honor of a celebrant
Give a donation to CARA on behalf of someone you love. Any amount is accepted. We'll send a digital gift certificate in the celebrant's name. The certificate will include some of CARA's most aoptable cats and dogs.
Booking a visit
Have a PAWrty with us
Let us know at least 2 weeks in advance. Email us at admin@caraphil.org with your preferred location, date, the size of your group, and a little about what you're celebrating. We'll check availability and confirm your slot. Both our cattery and home for dogs are open to accommodate guests from 9 AM - 4 PM.
You may also specify your engagement preference based on the options listed below.
Our Cattery is located at the CARA HQ at Mandaluyong City. Please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of your schedule.
We have a no-shoes policy inside so please be ready to wear socks/foot covers in the cattery.
Please note that (human) food and drinks are not allowed in the facility as it may get some of the cats too excited even though it's not good for their diets.
The cattery residents are well socialized and will approach you for treats and pets. They may also prefer to cuddle with you or sit on your lap. Please bring your own lint roller if you don't want cat fur sticking on you the whole day. 🙂
You may take photos and videos, but please try to keep your activities calm and relaxed. Cats may get startled by sudden noise or flash photography.
You will have 1 hour to chill with the cats. You may fully use up your schedule. If you decide to cut it short, please let our caretaker know.
Please let us know ahead of time if you would like to feed the cats with your donations as part of your visit, or if you would just want to meet them and offer some treats.
A surprise gift
Donate in honor of your celebrant
Using any of our donation channels, send your donation amount and provide us with the following details:
1. Name of celebrant
2. Reason for donation (birthday, anniversary, work promotion, etc.)
3. Whether you wish to be named in the certificate as a donor, and your relationship to the celebrant
4. Proof of donation. We will be able to confirm this from our end.
5. Send everything to admin@caraphil.org.

This is what the certificate may contain, although the final version will be in the official CARA format.
The certificate may feature a CARA rescue or an artwork from one of our volunteers.
We will respond as soon as we can, but please allow at least 48 hours to process your request, especially if it is close to the date. Thank you.
More information
Visiting our Cattery or Home for Dogs does not have a direct fee.
However, we would greatly appreciate a freely given donation to help us continue the care we provide to our rescues while they await their forever homes.
The full amount will also be used to cover the medical care and dietary requirements of our differently abled cats and dogs with special needs.
A portion of it will also be saved as a part of the emergency fund for strays in critical condition.
You may pool your donations in cash via online transfer, or donate goodies by dropping them off at any of our sites. See our donation channels on the Donate page.

Some of them have been with CARA for years, but remain hopeful of finding their new family.
If you feel moved to adopt or sponsor one, or to refer someone who might give them a new family, please notify us so we can begin the process.
